Lathes/Automatic Screw Machines:

The following collet chucks are designed to increase machining efficiency on your Lathes and Automatic Screw Machines.

Available for both ER and DA collets

The "STUBBY" line of Craftsman Industries is designed to address the needs of lathe/automatic screw machine users with the following features:  

  • Small diameter lock nut for machining hard-to-reach surfaces

  • Shorter shank length than Extensions, ideal for use on lathes and screw machines 

  • Lock nut on DA "STUBBY" is over 30% shorter in length than a standard Double Angle nut, ideal for automatic screw machines

  • Available for both ER and Double Angle collets

  • All lock nuts (including ER) can be tightened with any standard open-end wrench

"STUBBY" COLLET CHUCKS FOR DA COLLETS:

  • Manufactured in USA from high grade, heat-treated alloy steel

  • Black Oxide finish for corrosion prevention

  • Comes equipped with inside back-up screw and Lock Nut

ER lock nuts interchangeable with ER "mini" lock nuts of other manufacturers. Lock nut tightened with any standard open end wrench (no special wrench needed). Open end wrenches also available for purchase.

*DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN LOCK NUT, ALWAYS USE BACKUP SCREW
